ASA RISE, a 20 week leadership development and social justice program for emerging BIPOC leaders in the field of aging, kicked off the week of January 24. We have 32 amazing fellows in the inaugural cohort representing a wide range of ages, professional backgrounds, and identities.
We will be pairing each fellow with a mentor as part of the program and are now in the process of mentor recruitment. Our mentors will be the heart of ASA RISE. Mentors will share their wealth of knowledge, experience and fortitude with their mentees. To match our mentors with fellows we will use the ASA Legacy Exchange powered by Eldera (see attached report), a tech platform that pairs mentors with a fellow based on interests and commonalities while also facilitating the relationship building process and ongoing interaction through weekly 60-minute video hangouts for 12 weeks. It is a big commitment, but will have such a wonderful impact. If you are interested in serving as a mentor to one of the fellows, please complete the
ASA RISE Mentor Application or contact Patrice Dickerson at
