Joyfully surfing the age wave as I enter my Third Age of life, with a continued focus on advocacy to improve the quality of life of employed family caregivers - and how policies and practices of employers can support balancing caregiving and work.  Continuing on my journey to be an effective anti-racist co-conspirator. I do my work and live my life through an anti-racist lens.  I've worked in many facets of the aging enterprise including settings like housing, healthcare and community services, a technology company, CCRC, PACE program, and Area Agency on Aging. A lifelong learner, I'm passionate about nonviolent direct action to realize Beloved Community, as well as fly fishing, and honoring the life, music, and legacy of Jimi Hendrix.#messagetolove  I have a continuing meditation practice and enjoy sharing mindfulness techniques with others.  Author of two national award-winning books:    A Manager's Guide to Elder Care and Work (1999:  Greenwood Publishing) and Caregivers Work: A Six Step Guide to Balancing Work and Family (2019: Caregivers Work Publishing).
