  • 1.  Incorporating Intergenerational Programing and Engagement in MPA Work

    Posted 11-02-2023 11:14

    Hello Everyone,

I am looking for your insight and ideas in how Intergenerational Programing is being incorporated into your state's MPA. Do you have any examples of action items or recommendations you are considering? What areas of need have you identified in your state? @Divya Venkataganesan and I are leading this conversation for North Carolina's plan and would love your input!

    Many thanks,

    Julia

    Hi Julia

Colorado is working on a Digital Equity Plan right now, focusing on broadband access, device access, and digital skills training. We are anticipating intergenerational connections related to this work involving computer and internet training programs and centers.

NH is another state in the process of Digital Equity Planning.  Would love to hear what other states are planning in regard to older adult populations.

    Thank you, Erin and Rebecca!

Are there any programs where older adults are providing the services/care/assistance rather than being the recipient? Trying think how we can highlight the value older adults bring into the community. I know we can all agree that these intergenerational programs are essential to reducing feelings of age bias and ageism for all.
